Reports suggest that people are trying to contact the private hospitals for the second dose of the Covid vaccines and the Chennai corporations don’t have the stock available for now. However, the corporation officials have assured the people that waiting for the second shot by more than a week won’t make a lot of difference.

Doctors Suggest Increased Supply Of Covid 19 Vaccination

Doctors in the country are of the opinion that the Covid 19 vaccination is the only way to fight the pandemic. Following this, the government must increase the supply of vaccines and get more people vaccinated.

A senior epidemiologist, Venugopal Nair from a leading private hospital in Chennai said that the money spent on vaccinating the people is for the greater good. And the government must try other options of procuring vaccines from open markets.

So far 3.8 percent of the population in India has been vaccinated.
