The AP Government can take away their water only after following norms by obtaining permissions, the Minister asserted.

He hit out at the AP ministers for their charges on the Telangana government on irrigation projects. We are ready to move courts and urge the Centre for justice he said adding that the AP cannot loot our waters. Our state is not ready to use our water and produce power and not lose our share.

Our Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been implementing previous orders by AP CMs on irrigation projects, he said.  However, the centre is showing a partisan attitude on water allocations. The AP government got into a secret agreement with the centre in this regard, the Minister suspected.

In Mahabub Nagar we follow norms for irrigation projects and the AP Government should respect green tribunal directions. The AP Government should stop the construction of illegal projects in the state if they have any respect for the green tribunal, board and the centre.

Srinivas Goud attributed settlers term being used by the AP leaders only to misguide people.

Those in our state belong to Telangana and not settlers, he remarked. He accused the Andhra Pradesh Government of violations for looting our water. The AP Government has to cooperate to an official team for inspection of the works.

The AP Government should get permission for its projects instead of objection to the official team.
