No need to panic, our situation is much better than china: Experts

Due to the increasing cases of Covid-19 in China and other countries, there is concern among Indians, but experts have told the people that there is no need to panic. Our situation is much better than that of China, said Medanta Director Dr. Randeep Guleria.

He said that the vaccination process has been very successful in our country. Almost all people in the high-risk group took a booster dose, Galeria said. There are no signs of an increase in positive cases anywhere, but we must be on our guard. He said that the cases should be checked through proper monitoring, and these cases should be identified and checked.

Dr. Randeep Galeria said that new varieties should be prevented from spreading. Viral infections increase in winters and proper precautions should be taken during such times. People at high risk should protect themselves. All of them should take a booster dose, Dr. Galeria said.

Meanwhile, the central government on Wednesday held a review meeting on the situation of Covid in several countries of the world. The high-level review was chaired by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

The Center has suggested that states should be vigilant in view of the rising number of Covid cases in several countries. Wear a mask in crowded areas. He has made it clear that we are ready to face any situation. The Center has clarified that there is no need to panic and there is currently no restriction on travel from abroad.

He explained that currently the cases of Covid in the country are under control and the active cases are less than five thousand. He has expressed concern that the cases of Covid are increasing rapidly in China, Japan, South Korea, Brazil and the United States. The center explained that the total number of Covid cases in the US has crossed 10 crore.

Meanwhile, it is learned that the Center has warned the states against the deteriorating background of Covid in the respective countries. The Center has directed states to conduct genome sequencing to detect new variants so that new variants can be detected if the virus mutates.
