No Restrictions On The Film Theaters: T Srinivas Yadav 

Cinematography and Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav said that the government will support the film industry. There will be no restrictions on the film theaters to screen films amid corona protocols, he told reporters.

The minister said that though there is a surge in omicron cases and corona infections the theaters will run and screen the films. With Akhanda and Pushpa films screening the theaters got to screen the shows and people can enjoy following protocols. In addition to a rise in tickets prices we allow the theaters to screen the fifth show, he said. Stating that an online ticket portal will be launched soon, the minister said that the government may take a decision for more restrictions if the situation of corona and omicron cases is beyond control.

 Films and cinemas are for entertainment and there is no caste, community and region for them, he stated. The government will not take any steps and tough decisions against the film industry, he said adding that the film industry has to sustain. I will talk to the ministers concerned of Andhra Pradesh with regard to the film industry, showing of theaters and related matters. Our intention is to see that the film industry is developed further in Hyderabad by taking all support from the government.

Srinivas Yadav said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is for the development of the film industry and to make Hyderabad a hub for the film industry. As thousands of workers are relying on the film industry, efforts are on to resolve related issues, the minister maintained. The minister has said that they have increased the prices of film tickets for watching as the industry is getting back to normalcy after the corona pandemic. Though the cases of omicron and corona keep rising there are some restrictions of following protocols, he stated. The government has resolved to address the problems of the film industry by talking to film producers and other bigwigs, he said.
