Online classes Being Used as a Tool to Harass Teachers in Uttar Pradesh

A huge number of students attend online classes in unsuitable attire. In senior classes, boys are known to make offensive signs to the teachers and then conveniently log out, said an educator in Prayagraj.

A different teacher from Varanasi revealed that most of the students don’t bother wearing uniforms in online classes.

Shaswati Banerjee, an educator in a private based school, said that students deal with online classes like an outing, some can be seen enjoying cold beverages, other are chewing on sandwiches while few keep on using their mobile phones.  It is greatly unlikely in which we can discipline them for this modern medium of education.

She further continued, I truly worry that one day we will be going back to regular classes and I won’t understand how to deal with the individuals who have made vulgar gestures- some have also revealed pornography material to educators during the web classes.

She said that in situations where guardians were educated about their youngster’s behaviour, they contended that the kid was upset in the lockdown time frame and was behaving strangely.

In Baghpat, cops are currently investigating a case of indiscipline by two students and their subsequent punishment by a lady teacher. A video of the instructor beating the two students with a stick in a non-public school has been shared broadly via web-based media platforms. The students had allegedly sent her disgusting messages.

“Your brother passed out from this school. And he often asks me how the school is running and how the students are now. Shall I tell him that his younger brother is sending me abusive messages?” the educator is heard asking the kid.

An educator from Uttar pradesh city Kanpur said that female students were not a long way behind when it came to making trouble in online classes.

“There is this girl in class 10 who appears on the screen wearing revealing clothes and in full make-up. I called up her mother who, interestingly, defended her daughter saying that she was ‘learning the craft of make-up’ just before the online class began,” the instructor said.

Conversing with IANS, at any rate, two principles of private schools conceded that students are to be made mindful of the way that online classes are as good as ordinary classes, aside from the physical separation.
