Finance Minister T Harish Rao today hit out at the Opposition parties for hatching conspiracy against the Dalit Bandhu scheme. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will launch the program as a pilot project from Huzurabad on August 16, he disclosed.
The BJP state president Bandi Sanjay was demanding Rs 50 lakhs for the scheme while the TRS government will give Rs 10 lakhs he said. If he can press the Centre, Sanjay can get Rs 40 lakhs from Modi Government for our Dalit families. If he does so we will do “Palabhishekam to Modi photos, Harish Rao stated.
Harish slammed BJP leader Etala Rajender for opposing Dalit Bandhu. He recalled that Rajender as the Minister welcomed Rythu Bandhu launch from Huzurabad and now fearing defeat of Dalit Bandhu launch, he ridiculed. He conducted an aerial survey in Huzurabad with the chief secretary and later met with the local leaders.
Harish told media persons that the BJPC and the Congress are deliberately attempting to cause panic and confusion. The Chief Minister will launch the Dalit Bandhu scheme at Huzurabad on August 16 and give Rs 10 lakh each to 15 selected beneficiaries, the Minister said.

Finance Minister hit out at the Congress and the BJP leaders of the state for coming in the way of the scheme and creating confusion. The BJP and the Congress are creating doubts, panic and pushing the protests of no use. Despite the opposition causing hurdles, it is going to be started from Huzurabad as the pilot project, he said. The Congress and the BJP feared the defeat in the future polls as it would hamper their interests. This is not the scheme being implemented to gain in the elections.
There are elections now as the scheme was already announced in the Assembly by the Chief Minister. We are preparing guidelines and preparing the list of the eligible families of Dalits to get Rs 10 lakhs to do business and set up industries they can develop with, he said.
He stated that the government will launch the Dalit Bandhu scheme for all eligible families to be empowered. It was launched by KCR in Vasalamarriand Rs 7.60 car was already deposited into the beneficiaries’ accounts he claimed.
Similarly, all the families in Huzurabad will get Rs 10 lakh each and the same to be extended across the state he asserted.
