Centre Ready To Disclose Details To Domain Experts But Not Submit Affidavit In Court

As per the reports, the Central government has already proposed to set up an expert panel which would be composed of independent members to examine the snooping allegation. On September 13, the Centre informed the SC that they do not wish to submit a detailed affidavit regarding the case as part of national security. However, they would submit the same to a panel of domain experts.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta who represents the Centre, informed the court that there are multiple terror organizations that better don’t get to know the softwares they use to combat terror.

“It has its own pitfalls”, he added.
