Pegasus Spyware: Rahul Gandhi Demands Supreme Court Probe Against PM Modi, Resignation for Amit Shah

With the Pegasus scandal spiraling into debates within the Indian democracy, former Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi on Friday described the Pegasus spyware as a weapon and further demanded resignation from the Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Rahul Gandhi Calls Pegasus Spyware Scandal “Treason”

As per the latest reports, Rahul Gandhi demanded the Supreme Court to conduct a probe against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He also requested the Supreme Court to launch a probe against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Talking to the media outside the Parliament, Rahul Gandhi said that the Pegasus spyware is grouped by the Israel and that weapon was supposed to be used against the terrorists.

However, he accused that the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) and Union Home Minister have (allegedly) used this weapon against the Indian State and their democracy. He affirmed that the public authority utilized it strategically. He said that government (reportedly) used it in Karnataka. He further accused them of using Pegasus spyware against the Supreme Court and against every other institution in the country.

Focusing on the public authority, Rahul Gandhi said the only for fit for this situation is “treason” and there is no other word for this. He further demanded resignation from the Union Home Minister from Amit Shah.

Rahul Gandhi Demands Judicial Enquiry For Narendra Modi 

He additionally blamed the Prime Minister for utilizing this (Pegasus) weapon against individuals of the nation and furthermore to abandon the test of Rafale deal.

The Congress chief additionally said that “they tapped my telephone”.

“This isn’t about my protection, not about the security of Rahul Gandhi. I’m a resistance chief and I raise public issues of public. This is an assault on that. This is an assault on the voice of individuals,” he said.

He said that a legal enquiry and the SC enquiry should be launched against Narendra Modi as (reportedly) no body else could have approved Pegasus spyware.
