PM Modi Takes Covid 19 Vaccine Door-To-Door, Launches “Har Ghar Dastak” Campaign

With many people yet to receive their second doses of the Covid 19 vaccine, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that the vaccination drive against Covid 19 needs a “Har Ghar Dastak” approach to achieve the target.

PM Modi Holds Meeting With District Magistrates

PM Modi recently conducted a review meeting with the district magistrates of low vaccination coverage. During the meeting, he sai that the so far they have been working towards making sure that the people go to the vaccination centres to get their vaccination doses. However, it is now time to reach every house and give them vaccines, door-to-door.

He said that they may take the help of local religious leaders to spread awareness about the vaccines and fight the rumours.

Forty areas with low vaccination coverage were identified across Assam, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur and Chhattisgarh.

Along with the district magistrates, the Chief Ministers were also present at the meeting.

PM Modi Launches New Vaccination Campaign

During the meeting, PM Modi launched the new vaccination campaign, “Har Ghar Dastak”. He said that everyone has already showcased their capability with Sabko Vaccine, Muft Vaccine campaign. And now its time to make “Har Ghar Dastak” campaign a success.

He urged the health workers to reach every household with the “Har Ghar Tike, Ghar Ghar Tika” vaccine campaign.

Furthermore, he thanked the Chief Ministers for participating in the meeting and said that their attention towards the vaccination numbers will encourage the district officials to achieve the target.

He said that the country faced many challenges during the biggest pandemic of the century. And the one thing that ensure that the country was able to fight against corona was that they found new solutions and tried innovative methods to curb the spread.

Modi further urged the administrators to find and try more innovative ways to increase the vaccination numbers in their districts.
