KCR instructs officials to submit all information to the Supreme Court

Following the Supreme Court’s stay order on the ongoing Kaleshwaram project expansion, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who is in Delhi, reviewed the issue and directed the officials to provide all information requested by the Supreme Court. A four-week deadline was set for the report’s submission by the court.

In an interview with the Chief Minister, The Special Chief Secretary Rajath Kumar, detailed the status of the works being undertaken on the 3 tmc feet works of the project, as well as the clearances granted by the central agencies to date.

On a complaint filed by displaced individuals from the project site, the apex court halted the work alleging that environmental clearances and detailed project reports were not obtained before the works were undertaken. In addition to the court’s notices, the state and union governments were required to comply with the rules for taking up the works without the proper permits.
