14 people were detained in a raid by the Madhuranagar police in Hyderabad for organising cockfighting ad participating in gambling activities. A tip from a citizen led the police to an open area in Yadagirinagar, which is under the purview of the Madhuranagar police station
During the operantion, the authorities found that the people were using the rooster’s feet as weapons by strapping blades to them. The players also took part in betting on how the fights would turn out. As evidence, the cops removed numerous roosters and 90 blades from the site.
The parties involved in the illicit activities have been the subject of a case. Many governments forbid cockfighting and betting because of worries about animal cruelty and unlawful gambling.
