City police on Tuesday arrested Ali Quadri a cleric from the old city area of Hyderabad. He was arrested on charges of cheating a cancer patient by promising financial aid from the Telangana Chief Minister Relief Fund.
The cleric Ali Quadri chairman of Seert-Un-Nabi academy has allegedly taken 2 lakh rupees from Jameel Siddiqui who is suffering from cancer.
As per Hyderabad city police, Ali Quadri had collected cash and failed to provide relief to the cancer patient after the at Jameel Siddiqui had filed a complaint to which a case under IPC has been registered by Banjarahills police station.
Kalinga Rao inspector at Banjarahills police station said “We have issued a zero FIR against Ali Quadri and on the point of territorial jurisdiction the case has been transferred to Charminar police station,” On the morning of 23rd 2021, the Commissioner task force police arrested Ali Quadri and the investigation is underway He added.
Ali Quadri, Chairman of Seert-Un-Nabi academy was part of the “Prominent Muslim leaders” delegation who went to Jammu and Kashmir in January 2020 to meet Ajit Kumar Doval the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India.
