Prominent persons, state employees donate to CMs relief fund to help the poor

Hyderabad:  Several prominent personalities have extended their support and announced donations for the government initiatives to help the poor with the supply of essential commodities during the lockdown period imposed to curtail the spread of Coronavirus in the State.

Anupama Venugopal Nadella, the wife of Microsoft CEO  Satya Nadella, announced a donation of Rs 2 crore. A Cheque for Rs 2 Crore was handed over to Chief Minister  K Chandrashekhar Rao by Anupama’s father and former senior IAS officer  KR Venugopal. Government employees and teachers have donated a day’s basic salary. Employees JAC leaders Karem Ravinder Reddy, Mamata have handed over the Cheque to the CM. They said that the one-day wages of employees and teachers amounting to Rs 48 Crore is given for the CM Welfare Fund. Film hero  Nitin also handed over a Cheque for Rs 10 Lakh to the CM and the CM thanked them all.
