Rahul gandhi slams the govt for withdrawing troops from ladakh area

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed the Central government on Friday alleging that the Modi government has conceded land to China. This response from the Congress Leader came a day after the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh gave a statement in Parliamentary session about the initiation of disengagement process by India and China in eastern Ladakh region.

Addressing a press conference, member of Opposition Rahul Gandhi said, Indian territory in the alleged area was up to finger 4 and questioned him about why the troops and the armed forces have been withdrawn to finger 3, satirically taunting the Defence Minister.

Rahul Gandhi the situation to be cloudy as the dispute about the alleged lands of the Depsang Plains, Gogra-Hot Springs are yet not clear and no remarks from the Centre have yet been made for the same.

He said the status quo ante prior to April 2020 should be restored and the Prime Minister should answer the country.

“It is the responsibility and duty of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to protect the territory of this nation. Adding to it he made it clear that How the Prime Minister does it is his problem and concern, not mine or anyone elses.  said Rahul.

On Thursday, The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh gave a statement that the armed forces will return to the command post and assured that not even an inch of land will be given and nothing has been lost nor will be lost since the face off with China.”

The sustained talks and continuous discussions with China have brought to the agreement on the disengagement on the north and south banks of Pangong Lake. After the agreement pact, India-China will remove forward deployments in a systematic, phased and coordinated manner.

China will keep its troops to the east of the Finger 8 in the north of Pangong Lake. India will keep its militancy and armed troops in its permanent base near Finger 3, assured the defence minister Rajnath Singh.
