Rs 6 Lakh Deceitfully Withdrawn from Ram Temple Trust

A sum of Rs 6 lakh has been deceitfully withdrawn from the bank account of the Ram Temple Trust (Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust) in Ayodhya.

An FIR has been carried out in this situation at the Ayodhya Kotwali police headquarters. A group of cyber specialists has additionally been approached to investigate the case.

As per the report, the cash was taken from two banks in Lucknow with the method of cheque cloning.

Ayodhya’s Deputy inspector general, Deepak Kumar, said the sum was fraudulently taken utilizing cloned cheques of Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 3.5 lakh. He said a First Information Report (FIR) has been enlisted against unidentified individuals on the complaint of the Ram Temple Trust secretary, Champat Rai.

The issue became known when the fraud people made a third effort to withdraw Rs 9.86 lakh from the Bank of Baroda branch.

Kumar said the trust officials have affirmed that the original checks of the exact sequential numbers used to take the cash are with them. He said the theft was found when Rai got a confirmation call from the bank on Wednesday evening when the third cloned check of Rs 9.86 lakh was put for approval.

The bank administrator settled on a confirmation call to Trust Secretary Champat Rai, who denied having given any such check.

On further investigation, it was discovered that the cash had been taken from the account before as well, stated a police official.

A total sum of Rs 2.5 lakhs was taken from the bank on September 1 and afterward a whole of Rs 3.5 lakh, after two days.

Ayodhya circle official Rajesh Kumar Rai said that a case had been filed and investigations were in progress.
