Rs 6000 Cr for 2nd Phase Sheep Distribution: KCR

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed to spend Rs 6000 crore towards the second phase of the sheep distribution scheme in the state.

The Chief Minister held a meeting at Pragathi Bhavan here with Finance Minister T Harish Rao, Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Minister T Srinivas Yadav, and officials concerned.

The Chief Minister said that in the last phase Rs 5000 was spent on the sheep distribution program and got good results.

The second phase should be taken up to give sheep to all the eligible Yadavas in the villages he said asked the finance wing to release Rs 6000 crore this time.

KCR reiterated that the government is determined to provide necessary help revive the community professions to gain economically.

He took stock of the current situation of the sheep distribution, marketing, and helping the Yadava community to get benefits.

He instructed them to take up the second phase of the sheep distribution among the beneficiaries. The government will take necessary action to ensure that the yadavas eligible will get the sheep units in the second phase.

He asked the Animal Husbandry Minister to monitor and ensure a smooth phase of the sheep distribution.

The Chief Minister asked to continue the (20+1) sheep unit and increase its price to some extent. KCR has said that the government is pushing the professional communities in the rural areas to benefit one by one.

The villages and districts’ economy will increase with such help he said. The government will encourage the professionals to gain financially, he said. There are expected changes and results with such schemes, KCR stated.
