Hyderabad: Telangana Rytu Sangham on Friday demanded the state government to take steps for the prevention of the menace of middlemen at all markets yards of the State.
In a statement , president of the association P. Janga Reddy and General Secretary Sagar alleged that the middlemen were buying the produce from the farmers for very less rates and selling the same for a higher price. They said that the presence of the middlemen system were not only leaving the farmers in the state of loss but also forcing them to commit suicides in extreme cases. They made it clear that the farmers of the state would continue to sustain losses untill the state Government took steps for the prevention of their problems. (NSS)
