SC judge Ramana hails AP people for giving land for HC building complex

Amaravati: Justice N V Ramana of the Supreme Court Judge on Sunday congratulated the people of Andhra Pradesh state for giving their lands for the construction of the High Court building complex. He said the gesture of the people would be remembered by generations to come in the State.

Inaugurating a temporary High Court building complex in the State capital on Sunday, Justice N V Ramana said Amaravati was not a new capital, but a capital of Satavahanas hundreds of years ago. He said it was wonderful to acquire the land without giving any scope for legal problems. He said a new chapter has begun in the history of the new State capital, which has a history of over 2,000 years. He also said the new High Court would begin its work from Monday. Justice Ramana called upon the people of the State to take part in the construction of the State capital.

Justice R. Subash Reddy, another judge of Supreme Court, said the mark and vision  of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was clearly visible in the construction of the High Court building complex. The establishment of the High Court in Amaravathi would bring justice nearer to the people of the State.

Chief Justice of the AP High Court Justice Praveen Kumar said a new chapter was written with the establishment of the High Court here. He hoped that the High Court would become great in the country. (NSS)
