SC To Hear Vijay Mallya’s Contempt of Court on Tuesday

In the latest update regarding the Vijay Mallya case, the Supreme Court on Tuesday said it will start hearing on condemning him in contempt of court, in which he was held accused in July 2017.

Hearing To Begin At 2pm 

A bench headed by Justice U.U. Lalit has kept the earnest hearing on Mallya’s condemning at 2 p.m. The bench requested that the Center’s counsel to inform Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to be available in the court with composed directions from the Ministry of External Affairs.

After the top court’s choice to start hearing on Mallya’s condemning, the postponement in his extradition from the UK would not hold up traffic of the summit court to articulate the quantum of sentence. The top court noticed that Mallya’s advocate has been showing up before it during each meeting, it would hear contentions on sentence at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

As per a judgment followed through on July 14, 2017, Mallya was viewed blameworthy of disdain for not paying Rs 9,000 crore worth of duty to the banks notwithstanding rehashed bearings. Vijay Mallya’s Extradition Raised In Top Political Levels of UK
