Telangana Governor CP Radhakrishnan welcomed philanthropist Richard Broyd, Jeffrey Reinke from the World Monuments Fund (WMF), and Malini Thadani, WMF India representative, to Raj Bhavan to discuss significant restoration projects, including a notable heritage initiative involving the historic Shah Manzil.

The meeting focused on the restoration efforts for the East and West wings, the old physics block, and the chemistry block of Telangana Mahila Viswavidyalayam. Governor Radhakrishnan, along with B Venkatesham, Principal Secretary to the Governor, and Prof. M Vijjulatha, Vice-Chancellor of Telangana Mahila Viswavidyalayam, emphasized the importance of preserving these educational heritage sites.

A key highlight of the discussion was the Governor’s showcase of Shah Manzil, a historic building situated within the Raj Bhavan premises. The Shah Manzil, renowned for its architectural and historical significance, is an integral part of Raj Bhavan’s heritage. The Governor elaborated on the ongoing restoration plans for this magnificent structure and extended an invitation to WMF representatives to join the project.
