SI caught for tipping Dubey of police raid filed plea in SC

New Delhi: A petition is moved by  K.K. Sharma,  arrested sub Inspector of UP Police by the UP STF accused of tipping  Vikas Dubey and gang about the police raid in Kanpur, pleading for the protection for himself and his wife from the UP Police.

There were already Four petitions been filed in the supreme court pleading court-monitored investigations through SIT of CBI  into Vikas Dubey encounter by the UP Police and the criminal and politicians connection in Uttar Pradesh.

In his petition, K.K. Sharma says that he anticipate the danger to his life and liberty in view of the encounter of Vikas  Dubey and other accused persons after their arrest by   UP police and seeks protection of his fundamental rights under Article 14, 19 & 21 guaranteed in the Constitution.

Sharma petitioner No 1 in the petition along with another police personal of Uttar Pradesh police allege that even though were not named in FIR No 192 of 2020 registered on 3rd July 2020 at Chaubeypur police station, but were arrested by the UP Police in this connection.

In his petition, Sharma says that he and his wife firmly believe and anticipate that the probe would not be fair and transparent as the offense is of the killing of eight policemen of Uttar Pradesh Police.

“It is further submitted that the extrajudicial killings/encounters of other accused in the present FIR shows volumes of the conduct of the police department of state of Uttar Pradesh. Thus, the petitioners are seeking protection of their fundamental right to life and for a fair investigation and trial guaranteed under Article 14 and 21 of the Constitution by seeking transfer of the investigation to Respondent no. 4 (CBI) or any other independent investigative agency/team constituted by Respondent no. 1 (Ministry of Home Affairs),” says the plea.
