Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today accepted the resignation submitted by former minister Etala Rajender to the MLA post.
The speaker was not present when Rajender offered his letter due to the Corona pandemic and reportedly accepted resignation later.
As a result, Assembly Secretary V Narsimha Charyulu has issued a notification that Huzurabad segment became vacant.

He also informed the MLA resignation to the election commission to take note of the same.
This will pave way for by-polls for the Huzurabad segment.
