Srinivas Goud meets Archeology DG on temples development

Tourism and Culture Minister Srinivas Goud today called National Archeological Department Director-General, Vidyavathi in Delhi. The Minister extended thanks to the official and the Centre for according UNESCO tag to Ramappa Temple in Mulugu district of the state.

He also made some proposals to give UNESCO tags to the historic monuments and structures like Charminar, Golconda fort, thousand pillars temple, and Basara in Telangana.

He appealed that steps have to be taken to modernize the sound and light show area in Golconda fort to Rani Mahal for the tourists and people. The minister extended thanks to the Centre for its support in getting the UNESCO tag to Ramappa Temple and hoped to get the same to other historic and prominent structures in the state.

He also asked the DG for the release of the funds for the development of temples in the state. They are Yadadri temple, Venkateshwara Swamy temple at Manyamkonda near Mahabub Nagar, Bhadrachalam and Basara Saraswathi temple.

He apprised the official that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is developing the temples and spreading culture and tradition.
