The Department of Legal Metrology has filed a complaint against the Statue of Equality management in Muchinthal of Ranga Reddy district for not writing the weight, expiration date, and quantity on prasad packets.
A Hyderabad resident, Vinay Vingala, filed a complaint with the Legal Metrology Department to ask for action against temple officials who failed to display any details on prasad packets of the Statue of Equality. Moreover, Vinay provided the Legal Metrology department with images of the prasad packets.
In addition, he demanded that hefty penalties be imposed on vendors who sell prasad packets without providing any product information on the package. It was then that the District Legal Metrology Officer visited the trading premises of the Statue of Equality temple, Muchinthal, as well as various sections of the temple.

On June 21, the Assistant Controller of Legal Metrology, Ranga Reddy Zone, told the Controller, Legal Metrology, Telangana that a case has been filed based on the complaint.
According to the official, the District Legal Metrology Officer of Ranga Reddy – Shamshabad district inspected the Statue of Equality establishment on June 20 based on the complaint.
According to the District Legal Metrology Officer, a case has been registered for violations of Section 10, 11, 12, and Section 8/25 of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009.
The Statue of Equality is located on the scenic 45-acre Jeeyar Integrated Vedic Academy near Shamshabad, built to commemorate Saint Ramunjacharya’s 1000th birth anniversary.
On February 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled and dedicated the Statue of Equality to the nation. Admission to the establishment costs Rs 200 for adults and Rs 125 for children.
Chinna Jeeyar Swamy’s organization charges an entry fee to maintain the area where other activities take place, the seer explained.
