Suppress Spread of Hatred, Communal Strife: KTR Hits Out At BJP and Other Parties

Hyderabad: The TRS working president and Municipal Minister K Taraka Rama Rao today hit out at BJP and other parties for attempting to spread hatred and chaos and warned to press with an iron hand on such anti-social activities other than protecting the brand image of Hyderabad.

Ahead of the GHMC elections and in a freewheeling talk in the “Meet The Press” at Press Club in Somajiguda here, the minister warned frequently to suppress with an iron hand if any hatred is spread and communal strife is caused by anybody.

He claimed, “We will win the GHMC polls and clinch the Mayor seat despite the misinformation campaign by the opposition parties, KTR said. The entire world is looking at Hyderabad as a happening city for rapid growth as we have achieved a staggering Rs 2 lakh crores of investments that came pouring in so far”

He stated that before state formation, Andhra rulers spread fear and confusion by saying that Telangana will remain in darkness, lose investments, power and law and order will be in a shamble. He added that the KCR Government addressed all those issues within a short time.

The minister accused the opposition of attempting to create panic among the poor on the double bedroom houses. He said, “However, we will build them and offer free in a phased manner to the poor for better living as we spend Rs 9714 cr to construct 1 lakh housing units. Had there been not any encroachments we would have not faced recent floods as Kirloskar committee said about 27000 encroachments on nalas, lakes, and other places. This problem was in for decades during the Congress and other governments which failed to check them and now the problem persists. We are determined to remove them all with a new GHMC.”

He stated, “Recently we built a plant in Jeedimetla for building waste, to set up an IT tower in Kompally and expand the business of the pharma industry outside the Outer Ring Road.”

He included, “We ranked number one in per capita income and surpassed the odds of power, law and order, water, facilities and infrastructure the minister maintained.”

KTR said that during the Congress regime, power supply was the problem and people used to draw waters once in two weeks and such problems are not there as the KCR Government addressed them on a war footing.
