Talasani asks officials to convince poor in Bojagutta to vacate place for 2BHK houses

Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today asked the officials concerned to educate poor people in Bojagutta in the Nampally area on free double bedroom house units. The State government was committed to providing free housing facilities for the poor to live in respect, he added.

At a review meeting, the minister alleged that some vested interests were provoking the poor people not to vacate their huts to build houses. “If they vacate the place, we can build the 2BHK units for them”, he said. “We plan to spend Rs 141 crore to construct a total of 1,824 houses for the poor in Bojagutta locality. However, we started works for only 320 houses so far and work on the remaining 1,504 housing units is yet to begin as the poor people were not vacating their places”, he said.

The minister asked the officials to see that the people vacate the site and convince them of the housing free of cost, he said. He also instructed the officials to speed up the construction works to provide housing for the poor at the earliest.
