Talasani Srinivas Yadav Slams Sanjay on Sheep Program, Centre on Paddy

Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today criticized BJP State president and MP Bandi Sanjay for his alleged comments on the Sheep program.

Addressing a press conference the Minister alleged that the BJP is resorting to a false campaign on the sheep program. The sheep program was launched in 2017 for the welfare of the Yadava community in the state of Telangana, he claimed.

The TRS boss and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao have launched this program by spending huge funds. The Centre offered to give Rs 1000 crore for this program and failed to keep the promise, he charged. The central government is indulging in false policy and duping the people, he charged.

The Minister expressed displeasure that the BJP national leadership took Sanjay as the state unit president who is spreading falsehood on sheep scheme. He said that the state obtained NCDC loans for the first phase of sheep distribution.

The amount taken was Rs 3549.98 cr and repaid Rs 2900.74 cr in nine spells, he said.  The state obtained Rs 4593.75 cr loan for the second phase of the sheep distribution program and field level visit by NCDC officials expressed satisfaction with the plan.

He challenged the BJP leaders to press the Centre to implement a Sheep distribution scheme in the entire country if they have guts.

The Minister hit out at the BJP leaders and the Centre on double standards to get paddy from the state. The state gets rainy season stocks and the Centre has to pick up paddy in Yasangi, he said. Though the Centre is not fulfilling its duty to procure the same from our state, he objected.

The TRS will intensify protests to mount pressure on the Centre to procure paddy stocks from the state, he said. He demanded the state BJP leaders show some responsibility to procure paddy and help our farmers, he suggested.
