Teach BJP a leasson against power meters at farm wells: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Finance Minister T Harish Rao today criticized the BJP govt for farm bills approval, while farmers are staging protests across the country.

He asked the people to teach a lesson to the BJP government in the polls for planning to fix power meters at the farm wells.

Addressing a program after some participating in some development programs and laying foundation stones in Sidhipet and Dubbaka segments. He accused the center of indulging I’m supporting corporate companies to loot the farmers.

His remarks came a day after President Ramnath Kovind has given his assent to three controversial farm bills that have already been approved by parliament. Also, the Punjab farmers have stormed India gate in Delhi against the farm bills, while Congress in Karnataka is observing bandh in this regard. Failing to clear Rs 10000 cr dues to the state.

Citing these widespread protests, the minister took serious exception to the center for planning to fix power meters at the wells near the farmlands against our interests.

He ridiculed the center for its offer to give Rs 2500 cr for fixing the meters.  However, we are against the proposal as the farmers in the state get free power.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has curtly denied the same and our party is opposing the farm bills,  Harish Rao said. Harish said to give 1000 housing units to each segment and 1000 more for the Dubbaka segment. He asked the people in the segment to vote for the TRS candidate in the by-poll for development.

The people of the segment should reject the opposition Congress and BJP candidate’s stalling development works. The minister accused the BJP government at the center of denying funds to the state despite repeated requests.

Though the state has suffered huge losses due to the corona effect the government did not stop welfare programs in Telangana he claimed. He slammed the center for not giving funds under GST, IGST, and 14th finance commission; the center has to offer Rs 10000 cr.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has asked the Modi government for the same and there is no response he charged. Telangana faces corona and lists financially as Against Rs 75000 cr income the state got about Rs 49000 cr. Despite Rs 36000 loss the welfare has not stopped in the state, the minister said.
