Hyderabad: As part of government proposal to build a new Secretariat, a Technical Committee today inspected the building and blocks on the existing Secretariat premises. The committee members inspected all buildings, facilities and conditions.
Technical Committee will submit a report to the cabinet sub-committee headed by Minister Prashanth Reddy and comprising V Srinivas Goud and Koppula Eshwar as members. After submission of the report, the sub-committee may recommend building a new Secretariat and Assembly as the existing structures are not spacious and their condition is not good.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee has already held a meeting and speeded up the process to shift offices from the Secretariat to other places. The committee is likely to submit a report to the subcommittee saying that the buildings and facilities are not safe and suitable and are not in good condition. (NSS)
