Telangana has now become a role model for rest of the country: Governor Tamilisai

Telangana, which has faced numerous challenges, has now emerged as a model for the rest of the country, with rapid progress in a variety of sectors, said Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. Not only is the state economically strong, but it is also one of the top performers in the country in terms of welfare and development.

The Governor, addressing a joint meeting of the State Assembly and the Council on the first day of the budget session on Friday, said that due to enormous efforts, the State’s total revenue receipts have increased from Rs 62,000 crore in 2014-15 to Rs 1,84,000 crore by 2021-22. Furthermore, the state’s per capita income increased from Rs 1,24,104 in 2014-15 to Rs 3,17,115 in by 2022-23.

“The growth rate of several sectors of the economy in 2022-23, has doubled since the State formation, due to focus on capital expenditure. I wholeheartedly congratulate the government for this spectacular progress,” she said.

Telangana’s inclusive and comprehensive development has served as a model for the rest of the country.

Tamilisai Soundararajan highlighted the remarkable progress of the State in various sectors, pointing out how rural areas were transformed from poverty and distress to role models for others. She stated that Telangana has been able to attract investments worth Rs 3.31 lakh crore in IT and other sectors as a result of investor-friendly initiatives such as TS-iPASS. The IT sector alone has seen a 140 percent increase in employment.

“The State government has an equal focus on welfare and development which has already become a role model for the entire country. The State government promises to move forward with the same spirit and sincerity for the progress of Telangana and its people,” she further said.
