Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday seemingly warned of strong action against those who are making derogatory remarks against Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
The state Minister took to Twitter to say, “In BJP ruled Karnataka 14 days jail for an offensive tweet In Telangana, we’ve been tolerating direct & horrible insults to our CM, Ministers and Legislators may be we need to give them back in same coin, what say people?”
The tweet was in reference to the arrest of Kannada actor Chetan for posting an “offensive” tweet.

The tweet by Rama Rao, also known as KTR, came hours after the arrest of YouTuber Chintapandu Naveen Kumar alias Teenmaar Mallanna by the police for alleged derogatory comments against the Chief Minister and his family members.
Mallanna was picked up late Tuesday night from his channel Q News office in Peerzadiguda, on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
BRS supporters had filed police complaints against him for allegedly making derogatory comments on his YouTube channel about the Chief Minister, his son KTR, and his daughter and MLC K. Kavitha.
BJP condemns Mallanna’s arrest
Immediately after the YouTuber got arrested, Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay visited the residence of Mallanna and expressed his support for his family members.
He condemned the arrest of Mallanna and Telangana activist Vithal and spoke with police officials on the phone about the matter.
He demanded the immediate release of Mallanna and Vithal, accusing the BRS government of stifling the voices of those who question its policies.
“Vithal’s health condition is precarious. If anything happens to him, the state government would be held responsible,” warned Bandi Sanjay.
