Hyderabad: Telangana on Saturday recorded 2256 new cases of COVID 19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 77,513. Yesterday over 14 people have died, taking the total deaths recorded in the state so far stand at 615.
As per the media bulletin released by the director of the Public Health and Family welfare on Saturday the total Corona Cases in the state stands for 77,513.
Over1091 people have recovered and discharged from the various hospitals of the Telangana, taking the recovery number 54,330.The no of active cases in the state is above 21 Thousand.
According to the bulletin 464 new cases were recorded in the GHMC area, 181 in Ranga Reddy, 138 in Medchal Malkajgiri, 101 in Karim Nagar dist,187 in Warangal Urban Dist. Meanwhile, Corona’s fear continues to haunt the people’s representatives in Telangana. Many Legislators have already been diagnosed with coronavirus and the latest victim who has contracted with the COVID 19 is Sudhir Reddy who represents the L.B Nagar segment in State Assembly. His family members and maid were undergone for the Corona Test.
Authorities confirmed that MLA’s wife, two sons, and the cook were also infected with corona and as per the advice of the doctors the MLA and his family members are in the home quarantine.
In meantime, in view of the increasing cases of COVID 19 the Municipal authorities of Medak Dist have decided to impose the self-lock down from 9th to 16th of this Month.
The meeting of the authorities was held under the chairmanship of T.Chandrapal attended by all the business entities, Various associations, political leaders and others have participated. They feel that imposing the self-lock down is inevitable as the corona cases are increasing in the Dist day by day. The meet has resolved to impose the self-lock down in the whole dist. Only grocery shops, medical shops, milk, and curd centers will be open only for some hours.
