Telangana people will not fall prey to cheap politics of BJP and Congress: KCR

Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed confidence that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would secure a hat-trick victory in the next Assembly elections, saying Telangana people would not fall prey to the cheap politics of both the BJP and the Congress parties.

Since this was the election year, the Chief Minister said the onus was on the party workers to carefully counter and expose the false propaganda of the opposition parties. In a message given to party workers on Monday, he stated that it was the responsibility of the party workers to further strengthen the party.

The Chief Minister stated that he would be grateful to party workers for ensuring the party’s grand victory in panchayat to parliamentary constituency elections over the years, and that while others saw politics as a game, BRS saw it as a task. He stated that the BRS government had transformed Telangana into an index for welfare and development by viewing politics as a sacred duty to fulfil people’s aspirations.

The BRS government ensured that Telangana emerged as a role model for the entire country by successfully executing works and welfare programs that many thought were impossible.

It was now one among the five large States that contributed significantly to the nation’s economy, he said. While Telangana has made incredible progress in all sectors in recent years, the nation is still plagued with issues such as adequate drinking water for households and irrigation, as well as power supply, he noted.

“China, Singapore and South Korea are achieving rapid progress and unfortunately India is beset with communal hatred and lagging behind in development,” Chandrashekhar Rao said.

He blamed the Congress and BJP parties for the country’s poor development, claiming that both lacked vision and commitment. “To fill the void, the BRS set new agenda for the nation and embarked on a new journey to influence the national politics” he stressed.

The BJP-led union government, unable to stomach the BRS party’s Ab Ki Bar Kisan Sarkar slogan, attacked the party on all fronts. The BRS chief said that it was also impeding Telangana’s progress.

“Our party defeated many attacks and conspiracies during separate State agitation. Had we feared then, would Telangana be achieved,” he reminded the party workers, stressing that they were his might and force.
