Telangana Police To Enforce Stricter Implementation Of Covid 19 Guidelines Amidst Surge

Amidst the fast rising cases of Coronavirus across the country, the Telangana Police is taking steps to ensure the safety and well being of the netizens.

Telangana To Make Covid 19 Guidelines Stricter

The DGP of Telangana conducted a meeting with all the Commissioners of Police. Along with the district Superintendents of Police and all the officers upto the rank of SHOs via video conference. Range DIsG, ADG (Law and Order) and Zonal IsGP also participated in the meeting.

As per reports, the Telangana Police will strictly implement wearing facemasks in public places with immediate effect.

After the meeting, the DGP issued a note and said that the police officers have been directed to coordinate with all the stake holders at the local communities. This includes Resident’s Welfare Associations, officials at the Village/Ward levels. The police has directer them to ensure a stricter implementation of the Covid 19 guidelines like wearing facemasks in all public places.

The statement released said that the police will involve all the self help groups across Telangana to ensure strict implementation. Furthermore, repeated violators of the Covid 19 guidelines will be prosecuted under the law.

Police Directs Commericial Establishments To Restrict Entry

Along with the local authorities, the police has also instructed the owners of commercial establishments like malls, wine shops, pubs, kirana shops, petrol pumps, hotels, restaurants, etc. to restrict the entry of the people who come without a facemask.

The establishments may not provide services to customers who dont wear a facemask. They have also been asked to put appropriate posters at prominent areas for public knowing. This also comes under the National Disaster Management Act.

This order comes after many states across the country have issued night curfews and shut down educational institutions to curb the rising Covid cases.
