Covid-19 is spreading in an unusual and unexpected manner in the State, causing much worry to the authorities. When 1,15,311 tests were conducted on Saturday in the State will 8 p m, 3,187 new positive cases were recorded, the highest number in a day since corona started in the State, according to the corona bulletin released by the Health department officials here this morning.

Seven persons died of corona yesterday, taking the total number of deaths to 1,759. Yesterday, 787 persons recovered from corona. The number of persons recovered from it till yesterday was 3,05,335. There are 20,184.active cases in the State now. Of them, 13,366 are under home isolation treatment. In GHMC limits, 551 new cases were registered yesterday.

What is worrying the authorities is even as the pandemic spreading rapidly and the number of cases going up at a rapid speed, the people are not following the guidelines to check the disease. Quite a beer of people are acting in a negligent manner, not wearing mask and not maintaining social distance.
