Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today stated that Telangana state is number one in sheep distribution program and its wealth in the country.
The Minister instructed the officials concerned to provide insurance in 10 days to the Yadavas if the sheep dies.
At MCR HRD in the city, the Minister held a review meeting on the second phase of the sheep distribution program. We have to make necessary arrangements to offer another sheep in 10 days in the case of animal death he said.
The officials concerned informed that the selected beneficiaries are getting sheep units by paying DDs. Each sheep unit now costs Rs 1.75 lakh against Rs 1.25 lakh and Yadavas who submitted their DDs are taking sheep units they said. In the first phase Rs 5000 Cr was spent and now Rs 6000 for the second phase of sheep distribution, he claimed.

The Minister said that the government of Telangana is for the complete revival of professional communities. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been offering adequate funds for this scheme. On July 28 the state officials started the second phase of sheep distribution, he said. As planned we will give sheep units to all the eligible Yadava community, Srinivas Yadav said.
Our aim is to empower Yadavas and see that we export meat, the Minister said. The Chief Minister is committed to the welfare of Yadavas and other professional communities which are on the growth path he claimed. The Government offers financial support to others like SC, ST, BC, and Minorities. Necessary arrangements are made to implement schemes with funds to help the beneficiaries.
He said that the government is giving top priority to the welfare of Yadavas and other deprived classes. Srinivas Yadav said that development is key at all levels. He also said that the schemes are helping the poor across the state.

The Minister said that the KCR Government is providing better schemes for professional communities.
