Telangana Tops & Uttar Pradesh at Bottom in Health Services : Harish Rao

Telangana Finance & Health Minister T Harish Rao today claimed that the Telangana state occupies 3rd position at the national level in the health sector.

Niti Ayog has released a national report on Health services being offered by all States. While Telangana State got the third position at the national level, Uttar Pradesh which is being ruled by BJP headed by Yogi Adityanath occupied last position.

Participating in health care services programs at Bala Nagar, Koilkonda, Narayanpet and other places in previous Mahabub Nagar district,  Harish Rao inaugurated a 30-bedded hospital with equipment and promised to increase health facilities like beds, equipment and staff. He appealed to people to remain cautious for three more weeks as Corona cases were on the rise. “Wear masks, take injections and follow protocols to avoid infections,” he exhorted people. He also asked the people to avoid spending huge money by visiting private hospitals.

The minister took serious exception to BJP and Congress leaders for staging protests on GO 317, paddy, and development programs.  The Opposition parties are mud-slinging for political mileage and people are wary of the same, he said. “Despite Niti Ayog’s recommendation, the Centre denied us medical colleges,  funds, projects, ITIR, and necessary support. The BJP leaders from the State should ask the Centre as to why it failed to give one medical college to Telangana out of 157 new colleges. This can be attributed to the partisan attitude of the Centre towards Telangana State,” he bemoaned.

He also hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for” duping” farmers by rising fertilizer prices. He accused the Centre of cheating the farmers through lopsided policies. While Chief Minister KCR was developing the State with three medical colleges in the previous Mahabib Nagar district and workers are returning homes for livelihood with more resources in the State, the Centre was deliberately denying institutions, funds and projects, he added.

He asked the Centre to avoid cheating States through conspiracies and the entire country was against the rise in fertilizer prices.  He expressed concern that the farmers are overburdened with rise in fertilizer prices.  It was estimated that about Rs 20,000 cr additional burden will be put on the farmers by rise in prices of the fertilizers across the country, he said. The BJP  Government will face farmers’ ire and anguish for fertilizers charges and power meters at farm wells.

The minister suggested to the BJP government to shun violence of suppressing the farmers. The farmers need support and relief instead of burden and attack through charges. The KCR Government set a record by offering about Rs 50000 cr to farmers through Rythu Bandhu in seven years. The Modi Government has been suppressing the farmers with farm laws, fertilizers prices, and power meters. He said the BJP leaders should stop such anti-farmer activities. The TRS Government led by KCR will help farmers, he said.

Minister Srinivas Goud claimed as the KCR Government completed projects, workers who migrated to other States are coming back. The Local leaders came in the way of irrigation projects when KCR tried to complete Palamur RR lift project, he pointed out. However, it will be completed in addition to others in the previous Mahabub Nagar district, he added.
