Telugu States abuzz with leaders filing nominations

Hyderabad: Telugu States are busy with several political leaders filing nominations for the upcoming general elections on April 11. Since Saturday and Sunday are holidays, the political parties preferred to file nominations on Friday itself.

While TRS leaders Kavitha, B Narsaiah Goud, K Prabhakar Reddy filed their nominations at Nizamabad, Yadadri and Medak, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy filed his papers in Nalgonda segment respectively.

Meanwhile, YSRCP Chief Jaganmohan Reddy, along with former MP Avinash Reddy, YSRCP leader Shivaprakash Reddy filed nomination at Pulivendula segment at 1.49 pm and submitted them to returning officer Satyam. AP Minister Nara Lokesh filed nomination at Mangalagiri for Assembly segment along with his mother Bhuvaneshwari and wife Brahmani and son Devansh.
Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan filed his nomination to returning officer at 2.45 pm at Bhimavaram of West Godavari district. On behalf of Telugu Desam president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, local leaders including Resco Chairman Muniswamy Naidu, UDA Chairman Subramanyam Reddy, former MPP Bhavani filed nominations at Kuppam in Tirupati district.

Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, along with his wife Vasundhara, filed his nomination at Hindupuram segment with local leaders. Earlier, he performed special pujas at Sugur Anjaneya Swamy Temple. Later Balakrishna told media that the TD government will come to power by winning more seats than before as they are developing the State.

Kesineni Nani filed nomination for LS seat in Vijayawada along with minister D Uma Maheswhar Rao, leaders G Rammohan and others. Nani hoped that he will win the polls with more than 2 lakh majority. In Guntur, TD candidate Galla Jayadev filed nomination for MP Seat after performing pujas at Venkateshwara Swamy temple in Brindavan Gardens area.

Similarly K Rammohan Naidu filed nomination in Srikakulam Collectorate office. Minister Paritala Sunitha’s son Paritala Sriram filed his nomination for Assembly seat at Rapthadu in Ananthapur district. Earlier, he paid tributes to his father at Paritala Ravindra ghat at Venkatapuram. Kishore Chandra Deo filed four sets of nomination papers as MP candidate at Araku parliamentary segment to returning officer Balaji. (NSS)
