The revenue Act is meant to end corruption: CM KCR

Hyderabad: The Chief Minister of the state KCR today made it clear that his government had decided to enact the revenue Act to put an end to corruption in the revenue department of the state. He made these remarks after introducing the Telangana Rights inland and Pattadar Pass Books Bill, 2020.

 Speaking on the occasion, he termed the bill as a historic development in the history of the state. He said that he was very happy to introduce the bill which would help the farmers and the ordinary people of the state to get rid of their usual problems. He said that the bill would be meant for all the families of the state. KCR said that the rulers of the erstwhile state had not done enough to reform the revenue act although they made attempts to do so and added that officials of the revenue department were attacked due to the defects in the revenue laws. He made it clear that the proposed would address all the problems faced by the people of the state including farmers of the state. He said that the tehsildars of the state would act as the joint registrars and added that they would register all agriculture properties.

 He said that the non-agriculture properties including grama Kamtam properties would be registered by the sub registrars of the state. He said that the people of the state could access the details of their properties online on the dharani website. He said that all the sale transactions of the properties would be done online and added that the registration and the mutation of the properties would be completed simultaneously once the details were registered online.
