The US Assigns North Korea As “State Violator Of Religious Freedom” Amongst Other Countries

The US has assigned North Korea as a state violator of religious freedom, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.

North Korea Assigned “Nation Of Specific Concern” 

North Korea is one of 10 nations assigned as “nation of specific concern”, Yonhap News Agency cited Blinken as saying in an assertion on Wednesday

“I’m assigning Burma, the People’s Republic of China, Eritrea, Iran, the DPRK, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan as Countries of Particular Concern for having occupied with or endured ‘methodical, progressing, and horrifying infringement of strict opportunity’,” he added.

DPRK represents the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the North’s true name. This is the twentieth sequential year that the North has been assigned as a state violator of strict opportunity.
