Theatres Will Not Be Shut, Follow Corona Norms: Talasani

Cinematography and Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today clarified that the cinema theaters will not be shut in Telangana despite the corona effect and rising number of cases.

The government is in favor of the opening of the theaters which have to follow corona protocols, the minister informed. Srinivas Yadav has informed the house in the session that there are some rumors of closing down the cinema theatres. Though the cases are on the rise the theatres will continue to open and screen films across the state of Telangana, he maintained.

The Minister stated that the cinema theaters will continue to function and offer entertainment for people. Srinivas Yadav further stated that the state government is not ready to shut down the theaters. People should not believe in any such comments and news in social media or other platforms that the theaters will be shut down, he clarified. The government is conducting an inoculation drive to get corona jabs to the 60 years and above others as per norms he said. Those who have registered online and through proper steps will get the corona jabs, the minister said.

The government appeals to the people and youth to follow the corona protocols of wearing masks, sanitizing hands, and maintaining distance he reiterated. The minister further asked the youth, and people to ensure that they enter the theaters to watch the films only after wearing masks, sanitizing their hands.

The corona problem persists in the state and elsewhere in the country and the center and the State governments are on high alert, he maintained. Also, the Telangana government is fully geared up to check the menace of the corona by improving all facilities, he announced.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has already reviewed the pandemic and the officials concerned are prepared to ensure that the coronavirus is not spread. The hospitals are fully equipped to vaccination and offer health services to check the virus spread he remarked.
