Hyderabad: The sleuths of Special Operations Team of LB Nagar Zone, along with the Ghatkesar police, on Wednesday conducted joint operation and nabbed three residents of Suryapet district for procuring Ganja from Visakhapatnam with an intention to transport it to Shiridi of Maharashtra State.
The police also seized 51kg of ganja, an Innova vehicle, two mobiles and Rs 4,500 cash from possession of Dharavath Vamshi Naik, Dharavath RajuNaik and Jatavath Rathanlal. Police said snce last three years, the accused were selling Ganja in and around Hyderabad City, as well as in other areas as per their feasibility. They used to procure Ganja from. Dhaorakonda of Visakhapatnam district at Rs Rs 2,000 per kg and transport the same to Hyderabad and sell it at Rs 7,000.
The accused Dharavath Vamshi Naik, along with Amagoth Nagaraju earlier involved in peddling of narcotic drug for which cases were registered against them under the limits of KD Peta PS of Vizag and Janagoan PS of Warangal Commissionerate. They were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The accused were arrested this morning at Outer Ring Road, Ghatkesar Tollgate.
