Tollywood Celebrities Declare Contributions for Telangana Flood Relief

Hyderabad: Leading celebrities of the Telugu entertainment world, famously known as Tollywood, have approached to declare their contributions for relief works in Hyderabad and other flood-hit sections of Telangana.

Top entertainers took to Twitter on Tuesday to declare their contributions to the Relief Fund of the Chief Minister.

Superstar and ex-Union minister K. Chiranjeevi reported Rs 1 crore for the CM Relief Fund.

Chiranjeevi wrote: The unprecedented rains in Hyderabad have caused massive devastation, loss of lives, and extreme hardship to thousands. My sympathy goes out to those affected by nature’s fury. I’m humbly donating Rs 1 cr to CM Relief Fund.

He likewise requested everyone who can to come forward and support the poor and needy.

Famous Tollywood star Mahesh Babu likewise approached to give Rs 1 crore to the Telangana CM Relief Fund.

He wrote: Donating Rs 1 crore towards the CM relief fund of Telangana. I urge all of you to come forward and donate towards the cause. Let’s stand by our people throughout these difficult times.

Top entertainer Nagarjuna likewise reported a contribution of Rs 50 lakh.

He said: Heavy rains and floods have destroyed the lives of people in Hyderabad. Appreciate the efforts of Telangana Govt in releasing Rs 550 crore for quick relief. Standing by the cause will donate Rs 50 lakh to Telangana CM relief fund.

Another driving entertainer Junior NTR likewise declared a donation of Rs 50 lakh.

He said: Several lives in Hyderabad have been destroyed by the rains and floods. I am offering Rs 50 lakh to the Telangana CM Relief Fund towards the restoration of our city. Let us all chime in and restore our Hyderabad.

Young entertainer Vijay Deverakonda declared a contribution of Rs 10 lakh to the CM Relief Fund.

Deverakonda said: We came unitedly for Kerala. We came unitedly for Chennai. We came unitedly for the Army. We came unitedly in huge numbers for each other during Corona. This time our city and our people need a helping hand. It has been a tough year for all of us, but those of us who are doing decently well, let’s pool in some money to help those who are not – Let’s do it one more time for our own. Today I am donating Rs 10 lakh to the CMRF.

Minister for the municipal organization and urban development, K.T. Rama Rao, expressed gratitude toward all the entertainers for their contributions.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has spoken to the industrialists, dealers, business foundations and others to approach to stretch out their assistance to individuals who endured because of the weighty rains and floods. He encouraged them to give generously to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Weighty rains and floods since October 13 in Telangana have taken 70 lives, which included 33 for Greater Hyderabad, and produced losses of over Rs 5,000 crore.
