Traffic restrictions and alternate routes issued for Republic Day celebrations

With a day left for the Republic day celebrations to begin in Nampally’s Public Gardens, the city police have listed the restrictions imposed on the traffic front for the day, which will stay in place from 9 am till 12 pm on January 26th.

Considering the same, all vehicles incoming from MJ Market side, seeking a path towards Mehdipatnam will not be allowed to go further, as they will be diverted at Taj Island to go to Ek Minar, Asif Nagar, Red Hills, Lakdikapul, Ayodhya Hotel, and other places.

Meanwhile, the traffic in the Nampally railway station area will be diverted at the Chapel Road T Junction to move towards Gunfoundry, Abids, or the BJR statue, disallowing them to travel the Public Gardens’ route.

Similarly, Nirankari Bhawan and Khairtabad traffic driving to Ravindra Bharathi will be asked to shift path at Old Saifabad police station. They need to take the road of Telephone Bhawan, Secretariat Road, Ambedkar Statue, Iqbal Minar, Telugu Thalli, Liberty, Basheerbagh, Abids, etc.

People arriving from King Kothi, Hyderguda, and BJR Statue and attempting to proceed towards the PCR, Public Garden cannot do so as they will be diverted at Basheerbagh Junction and made to go to Old Saifabad police station, Lakdikapul bridge, BJR Statue, Liberty, Iqbal Minar, Abids, NTR Marg, Telugu Thalli.

Incoming vehicles from Tank Bund moving towards Ravindra Bharathi need to change their pathways at Iqbal Minar and take the road of Telephone Bhavan Road, Lakdikapul Bridge, Old Saifabad police station.

Traffic from the Nampally railway station area trying to proceed towards Public Garden will be diverted at AR Petrol Pump side to go towards BJP Statue, Gunfoundry, and other places.

Consequently, traffic from Telugu Thalli area, Liberty, NTR Marg, toward PCR (Police Station Control Room Junction) through Adarshnagar road will be stopped to get diverted at New MLA Quarters of Adarsh Nagar for taking the Liberty, Telugu Thalli flyover road.

Nevertheless, those possessing car passes for becoming a part of the Republic day celebrations at Public Gardens will be permitted to proceed through their route at all halts for diversion. The Hyderabad city police requested citizens to cooperate in the traffic handling and take alternate roads to reach their destination.
