A fatal accident involving a bus and a truck on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway early Saturday claimed the lives of two people and left 12 others injured. The mishap, which occurred near Jadcherla, was reportedly caused by a tyre burst that forced the bus driver to apply sudden brakes, leading to a collision with a truck from behind.
Jadcherla police confirmed the deaths of the bus cleaner and a passenger in the accident. “The injured were shifted to a hospital, and a case of accident due to negligence has been registered under Section 106 (1) and 125 (a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita,” a police official stated.
The collision resulted in a temporary traffic standstill on the busy National Highway, but police promptly intervened to clear the road and restore movement.

This incident comes just a day after another tragic accident on January 10, when a bus traveling to Hyderabad from Chhattisgarh rammed into a stationary truck, resulting in four fatalities.
The back-to-back accidents have raised concerns about road safety on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway, emphasizing the need for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations and regular vehicle inspections to prevent such mishaps.
