He also slammed TPCC Chief N Utham Kumar Reddy for writing a letter to the Prime Minister not to inaugurate Mission Bhagiratha in the State.

“It is not right for the Congress to make such provocative comments on one of the best projects in the country”, Prabhakar said, adding that the Congress was exhibiting mean mentality instead of supporting the project completion and development works. He also found fault with them for opposing the visit of Jagan to the project inaugural which is also to be attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has invited Jagan, Fadnavis and Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao for the event on June 21. He asked whether these leaders opposing the Kaleshwaram can call upon the people of their segments to avoid using use its waters in future.

“The Congress will face the ire of the people if the Congress failed to mend its ways against welfare and development. The way they are opposing the projects by moving courts is being closely watched by the people and will teach them a lesson. The State government gave better package to the displaced persons under the project though the Congress moved the court, he alleged. The Congress failed to give suitable compensation to Srisailam project victims and forcing them to make rounds for justice, he added. (NSS)
