Hyderabad: Former MP and senior Congress leader Madhu Yaski Goud on Monday alleged that the ruling TRS party had committed several irregularities and spent money to win in the elections.
Speaking to media persons here today, Goud alleged that the ruling party was bagging the municipalities won by Opposition Congress and the BJP with the help of votes of ex-officio members. He urged the Governor to intervene in the issue and stop the “murder of democracy” in the State. He also urged the Centre to intervene and discipline the State Election Commission and the Police department.
Former MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy alleged that the TRS was behaving in an undemocratic manner with regard to the election of the municipal chairperson’s posts. He alleged that TRS MLA from Ibrahimpatnam was buying Congress MLAs with the money earned in the real estate business. He also alleged that the police were taking away their party candidates to help the ruling party.
