Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that in the last eight years Telangana has suffered “extreme misgovernance” at the hands of Chief Minister KCR’s Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Rahul Gandhi emphasized the Congress’s commitment to establishing Telangana as a model state and ensuring the prosperity of all, including farmers, workers and the poor.
Rahul Gandhi said on Twitter using the hashtag #TelanganaFormationDay: India’s youngest state, Telangana, was born out of people’s aspirations for a better future. I feel proud that the Congress party and Sonia Gandhi ji listened to the people’s voice and worked selflessly towards fulfilling the dream of Telangana.”
He said: In the past 8 years, Telangana has suffered extreme misgovernance by TRS. On Telangana Formation Day, I want to reaffirm Congress’ commitment to building a glorious Telangana, a model state focused on bringing prosperity, especially to farmers, workers, the poor and common people.

Also, TPCC secretary Patel Ramesh Reddy said on Monday that the Rythu Declaration has put the TRS on the defensive.
During Rachabanda, he visited many villages including Mangali Tanda, Potti Surya Tanda, and Botya Tanda in Atmakur (S) mandal in the district, and informed them about the party’s Warangal Rythu declaration. On this occasion, he said Congress chief Sonia Gandhi carved out Telangana as per the aspirations of the people and the martyrs.
He promised that Warangal Rythu Declaration will bring light to the lives of Telangana farmers, who have been deceived by KCR.
He called on people to teach this lesson to CM KCR who skipped his promise to make Dalit the first chief minister of Telangana and to give three acres of land to landless poor SCs. Following Rahul Gandhi’s Rythu Declaration at the Warangal meeting, TRS leaders and ranks are apparently fearful.
