TRS slams Congress jibe on KTR

Hyderabad: TRS MLAs today launched a blitzkrieg against the opposition congress leaders for their remarks against IT Minister KT Rama Rao and the government.

Addressing a press conference here, G Kamalakar and Vivekananda accused the congress of indulging in mud-slinging only to gain political mileage. The opposition seems to be day dreaming followed by a two-day visit by AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi to Hyderabad. Kamalakar alleged that the congress during its regime has turned Karimnagar district merely a burial ground as there was no development for 10 years. The Congress did not bother about development and forgot about welfare of the people in the state, he fumed.

However the TRS Government has been spending huge funds for Karimanagar development, he said. He attributed rapid development and welfare in the district to the persistent efforts and determination of KT Rama Rao who represents Siricilla segment. He found fault with Congress leader Ponnam Prabhakar for his rant against Rama Rao. The congress leaders have no right to talk about KTR, and Ponnam should tender an apology for that and should not deceive his own district by such comments.

Rahul Gandhi’s visit will not make much difference in the congress as there is no common agenda as the leaders prefer to get publicity, he said. The legislator flayed that the Congress is spiking the irrigation projects by moving courts and coming in the way of development. The people are aware of the nefarious designs of the opposition which cannot stall the progress. As chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said the TRS will retain power by winning 100 seats, he said.(NSS)
