With an end goal to charm African-American voters, the United States President Donald Trump said that the Black Lives Matter development was an “extreme socialist” organization that is unsafe for the community.
The hill news website reported the United States President as saying at a campaign event in Atlanta on Friday “It’s really hurting the Black community.”
“This is an unusual name for an organization whose ideology and tactics are right now destroying many Black lives.”
The Black Lives Matter movement’s main goal is to eliminate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on the Black community by the state and vigilantes, which was established in the year 2013.
It started with the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter on social media after the absolution of the primary blamed in the shooting death case of African-American teenager Trayvon Martin in February 2012.
The development needs to “achieve the destruction of the nuclear family” and “abolish” the police, prisons, border security, capitalism, and school choice, the president further told.
“This is not the agenda of the Black community. This is the agenda of an extreme socialist or worse, you know what the other word is — Marxist, communist — this is the extreme socialist left, but beyond that in my opinion,” The Hill news referred to Trump as saying.
Mourning the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmad Arbery, African-Americans who were totally murdered by white people this year, he said that “our hearts break for their families and all families who have lost a loved one but we can never allow mob rule”.
Trump’s comments came amidst the nationwide distress which was set off after the death of Floyd, an unarmed African-American man, in the hands of police.
He died in Minneapolis on May 25 after a white cop knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes.
A similar incident occurred on August 23, Jacob Blake, another individual of color, was shot in the back multiple times by a police officer in the city of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
The explanation behind the shooting is still under investigation
On March 23, Daniel Prude, additionally an African-American, died in Rochester, New York after the police held him down out on the road for two minutes and furthermore put a “spit hood” on his head.
Despite the fact that Prude died in March, the episode just came to light recently.
Taylor, a 26-year-old health worker, died after she was shot multiple times as officers stormed her home on March 13.
